Why Do Some Dislike A Single Payer Method?

-In U.S. healthcare, many seem interested in a single payer method! However, many seem to dislike this method and don't believe its a good idea to have it! What's so bad about it that many disapprove it and what another option!The single most important reason is if government is the only source for something then we all are subject to what the government is giving. In the case of many private providers if we don't like what one offers or is doing we can choose another.1> Any time you add another middle man, the ultimate price to the end consumer is higher.

2> Human nature says something sacrificed for, worked for, or fought for, is appreciated and cared for, but something given to for "free", is none of the fore-mentioned.
Look at medicare / medicaid. It IS single payer. Efficient, streamlined, high quality : NOT. But only 1/2 of the overall health care equation in the US.

Inefficient, long lines, government decides what can cure and what cannot.



You can ask to Europeans or Canadians.



Do you really want put your health in the hands of a government that can't run the postal system right?
Single payer reduces competition. I would not like to see that. Europe can take their socialism and stick it up there "insert bad word here".
It is not really 'Single Payer".



I would not only be paying for mine but an increasing number of people who sit on their butt drawing Welfare.
Some lawmakers dislike the single payer option because Big Insurance companies don't want the competition.
Just look at the mess we have in Washington now & you want to turn over the health care for 300 million to those people? Thats insanity!
They know what happens when the free market is compromised. Also, knowledge of history.
Some people want to die a slow and painful death and not have health care.



Let those ones die.
