-Ok, so we elect the President, Senators, Representatives, Governors, and mayors, should we elect these people: The Speaker of the house, the Minority Leader of the House and Senate, the Majority leaders of the house and senate, and the President of the senate? Are Americans still in charge of this country or is congress manipulating the people of this country into believing that what they say matters? Thanks for answering!Short answer? We live in a crappy two party "representative democracy" so no we have no control. Other wise third parties could get on ballots easier and we wouldn't have 'either or' ballots to vote on.No. Ridiculous.
