If the government agress on the budget increase, will Social Security Checks be here on the 3rd?

-Is that enough time to get everything done: Print the checks, mail them ect?



And why is the deadline so close? The 2nd is cutting it kind of close isn't it?Most won't, because a large portion goes out on the 15th, and most of those in electronic form.This isn't about a BUDGET INCREASE.



It's about authorizing payment/funding of budget items already set by Congress bu rasing the DEBT CEILING.



Analogy:



YOU make a budget then later find one or more items on that budget cost more than you originally figured, SO instead of not paying those bills and screwing up your good credit rating, you ask your credit card company to increase the credit limit on your card.



If you don't do this, some of your payments wil lbe late and that will cause your credit rating to be lower and you'll wind up paying higher interest rates on ALL your credit cards and loans and so will everyone else.
Not all federal funds are cutoff (or a threat to be cut off). Just those funds that would cause the payments to exceed the debt cap. I do believe that they have already made sure that certain critical checks like SSA have been addressed.
. Social Security and Medicare recipients will be high on the must-pay list..

The checks are already cut and in the mail now. Don't worry.
Stop buying in to Obama and the Dems fear tactics. Even if they don't raise the limit you will get your check.
My VA disability check has already been direct deposited in the bank.
