Debt crisis in laymans terms?

-i borrow money from a credit card...not thousands but TRILLIONS..i miss a bunch of payments but i keep charging on it. then i ask the credit card company to RAISE the limit i can borrow in the hope that things will improve in my life and i will be able to pay it all back.

Is that what Obama meant about shovel ready (snow) jobs? These members of the Commission said, "America cannot be great if we go broke," while calling for ambitious spending cuts (reducing spending to 21 percent of GDP over the next quarter century from it current rate of more than 25 percent), dramatice tax reform and sweeping changes to entitlement programs, including narrowing eligibility for the wealthy and increasing the retirement age. Those who paid attention to what they were saying might have thought if it "Sounds good, it must be good". So they bought it.
Yes this is right and then we want a new credit card to put more debt onto good grief what a country.
