What is a difference between the NATO bombing campaign in the 1990s Balkans and in 2011 Libyan operation?

-Seems like now the NATO led by Europeans(with most of our US assets) are getting bogged down. Now Britain and France are saying that Gaddafi may stay. http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/鈥?/a>

NATO led by the Unites States stopped the fighting between Bosnian Serbs, Croats, and Bosnian Muslims with the 1995 Dayton Agreement. In 1999, we manage to drive Serbian troops out of Kosovo which caused ethic cleansing of Albanians stopped. I think that's how i see the differences. What are your thoughts to this? most people say that Kosovo war was the first NATO win for air- power alone.There were effective ground asset in place in the Balkans. There has only been one case where an air campaign all by itself succeeded in wining the day, and that was back in the 1920s against Iraq tribesmen raiding British outposts in the aftermath of WW I. In every other instance it since then it has been necessary to have boots on the ground to bring the conflict to a successful conclusion. Until the Libyan rebels can get their act together and confront Qaddafi on the ground NATO is going to be spinning its wheels. I can't believe NATO's military leaders failed to warn the civilian leaders this is what was going to happen in the circumstances.To a Troll like you absolutely none, but don't let that stop you from trying and failing to TROLL kid.
Very little because both Presidents in both scenarios, were in fact DEMOCRATS! Not to mention the fact they are trying to use surgical "AIR-STRIKES" that are ineffective because of the terrain, and the fact they do not understand how to allow OUR Military and their leaders to do their jobs and get the job done right the first time without INEXPERIENCED intervention.



Also the fact it is the same because most of the Air-strikes being performed are being done with U.S War Planes, because European leaders are too busy wearing their skirts when they want bombs to be dropped and THEN blame it on someone else.
