How much it will cost to apply for citizen ship?what are the requirments?

-Just renew my green card but I want to be citizen here in u.s,my friend told me that renewing a green card is almost same if I apply for citizenship,I enter in u.s ,as a residents alien through my dad,i was minor then,can someone please tell me all the procedures and others thing I need to know so I can apply for it,thank you...First of all, renewing your Green Card is a requirement it does not do anything in applying for Citizenship.

You must file after having 5 years in country since you are no longer a minor.
