Many of those who voted for Republicans in 2010 were the the same independents who voted for Obama two years earlier.

I think that Obama had one hell of a mess before he even started. I remember saying to myself that watever goes wrong with the government within his term will be blamed on him. Many people are forgetting that the government was a HOT molten mess when he took office from the previous president. It wasn't gonna be fixed and no matter who takes over after Obama they (man/women, white/black) will be just as criticized and ridiculed as the last. So watever happens at this point is whatever, in a year from now when we are all back on here complaining about the next person and persons who end up in DC.
Both parts of his question are a false premise. If he is young, you have to excuse him. I feel bad for him as right now, even before this debt ceiling raise and spending, he already owes Uncle Sam over a quarter of a million dollars, just for his share of the debt. If he is older, there is no excuse for his ignorance and he should be ashamed of himself for piling that debt on the younger generation.

So far they are better than the last congress, the republicans are standing up for what they campaigned, which was no more debt, I guess losing the 2008 election changed the field of politics in the GOP once again like 1980, expect a landslide victory in 2012 if they stick to what they campaigned for.
Their views may not be convenient for you today, but Obama is going to destroy this economy for your kids if you have any. He is just delaying it and making it much much worse. How many times does the debt ceiling need to be raised for you to realize the spending is not gonna stop. It has been raised over 50 times, its just a bigger issue now. Do you even understand default, or are you just going along with Obama because thats what you've always done? The problem with default is the value of our dollar goes down. Well, the value of our dollar is going down anyways because the more debt we go into the more of our money we print inflating our economy. Now, with any issue in politics today all you have to do is follow the money and see who benefits to realize the real reason for things. With that said if going into default is no worse than continuing to pile on the debt then why would we pile on the debt. There is only one winner in the US continuing to pile on debt on this ENTIRE planet and that is Obama's international banking friends....hmmm. So will the dollar value go down if we default? Yes it will and of course that is not good, but it is a lesser evil to default now, reform our government's involvement in our economy and balance this btch, rather than continue to pile on the debt so all of our old politicians can live their normal lives and let our youth deal with a complete collapse. The facts and info are out there for u to check yourself....don't just go with what one person says.
